No additional time margin is envisaged. Once the rating has expired without the revalidation procedure having been carried out in due time and form, and for the purposes of its entry into force, it shall be renewed at an ATO or DTO for PART FCL licences or at an ULM training centre for ULM licences.

The operator or contact person will receive notification via email about the opening of the file. The subsequent management of the file requires registration in the database created and maintained for this purpose by EASA.

ORO.FTL.105 (10) Activity is “any task performed by a crew member for the operator, including flight duty, administrative work, giving or receiving training and verification, positioning, and some elements of imaginary.” If the operator manages the medical examinations (indicating to the crew member when and where to perform it) they cannot be considered as rest.

Point CAT.GEN.MPA.100 (b)(4) on crew responsibilities provides that the crew member “shall respect all flight and service time limitations (FTL) and rest requirements applicable to their activities”.

The full-time equivalent is a concept that allows to measure the number of full-time employees working in an organisation and is calculated by suming all staff hours of work in one year, either part-time or full-time and by dividing the result by the number of hours of a full-time employee.

The scope of an inspection at the airport is that of the operation on the airport platform and the application of the organisation’s manuals at that airport according to its activity.

Sometimes airport inspection is limited to ramp operation and application of the operator’s operating manuals.

Through the telematics processor that is the application of EASA for the management by the inspected of the inspection documentation.
