    In accordance with Article 18(2) of Royal Decree 20/2014 of 17 January 2014, the State Aviation Safety Agency is responsible for controlling and inspecting the Director of Coordination and the Coordinator, including their economic supervision, and their operation.

    Supervision

    Objectives

    • Verify that the Coordinator’s funding ensures its financial sufficiency and continuity in the provision of services.
    • Report on the modification of the public financial provision of slot allocation, analysing its impact on the financial situation of the Coordinator.

    Inspection

    Objective:

    • Ensure that the performance of the services provided has been applied in a neutral, transparent and non-discriminatory manner.

    Documentary inspection

    • Identification and verification of documentary evidence and effectiveness of the procedures applied by the Coordinator to carry out his activity.

    On-site inspection

    • Verification of the correct application of the procedures.
