National Airworthiness Review Certificate (NARC)

What it pursues

The National Airworthiness Review Certificate (NARC) is applicable to ‘non-EASA aircraft’, i.e. those aircraft entered in the Spanish Aircraft Registration Register that are excluded from the scope of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 (Basic Regulation).

Within these, we will distinguish between:

TYPE OF AIRCRAFT AIRCRAFT BUILT BY AFFILIATES (AFIS) MOTORIZED ULTRALIGEAR AIRCRAFT (ULM) AIRCRAFT WITH EASA TYPE CERTIFICATE AND JOINT OPERATION OF RD 750/2014 AIRCRAFT WITH EASA TYPE CERTIFICATE AND EXCLUSIVE OPERATION OF RD 750/2014 REST
EMISSION AESA issues NARC format AESA N15a AESA issues NARC format AESA N15a Regulation (EU) 1321/2014 must be complied with.

The applicable NARC formats are AESA 15a, AESA 15b and AESA 15c.		 AESA issues NARC format AESA N15a
VALIDITY 2 years or 200 flight hours, whichever comes first 2 years

RENEWAL Declaration.

Electronic Office 		 There is no concept of renewal.
APPLICATION If more than 2 years have passed since the expiry of the last NARC or the last Declaration and it has not been renewed, AESA shall be requested to issue a new NARC. If more than 6 months have passed since the expiry of the last NARC or the last Declaration and it has not been renewed, AESA shall be requested to issue a new NARC. A new NARC should be requested from AESA using the format AC-ARC-P02-F02, via the General Request, indicating as the addressee the corresponding Supervisory Unit (DAEA/OSV).

 

(*) The person responsible for the maintenance and maintenance of airworthiness has until 26/02/2027 to issue the first Declaration of Maintenance of Airworthiness (EASA format N15b), without having to obtain a first NARC beforehand.
