Guidelines for the realisation of theoretical examinations

Resolution of 28 July 2025, of the Directorate of the State Aviation Safety Agency, establishing the bases for the development of electronic theoretical knowledge examinations for obtaining civil aeronautical qualifications, licences and ratings.

How to apply for the certificate of theoretical subjects

You can obtain the certificate of theoretical subjects through our AESA Electronic Headquarters
 
AESA Electronic Headquarters Coordination of Aeronautical Teachings

Alternatively you have the possibility to request it through request instance and only in the case that you can not access through Electronic Headquarters
 
Application for certificate of theoretical subjects

In this case and for the purpose of submitting your application and in accordance with the provisions of Article 16 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, 
of the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, i.e.:

• Through our AESA Electronic Headquarters Licenses and Aeronautical Medicine | Headquarters AESA General Request
• An electronic register of the General Administration of the State, the Administrations of Autonomous Communities or the entities that make up the Local Administration.
• In the Post Offices
• In the diplomatic representations or consular offices of Spain abroad.
• At the Registry Assistance Offices
• Through postal service, or in person at AESA’s offices in Madrid
