Language proficiency – How is the new expiry of language proficiency demonstrated?

Provided that it meets and proves the requirements for exemption, language proficiency shall be accompanied by a copy of the EASA Resolution of the date applicable to it in each case.

Language proficiency – How long does the validity of language competence extend?

The validity of language proficiency entries in accordance with point FCL.055 of Part FCL valid on 14 March 2020 and whose ordinary period of validity expires before 31 July 2020 until the date of validity of this decision is extended.

Cabin Crew Certificate – Can I request the replacement of the tcp eu ops certificate with easa if the maximum period ends within the period of application of the state of alarm?

No. What applies here is the suspension of administrative deadlines of the third additional provision of Royal Decree 463/2020 of 14 March 2020 or, where appropriate, if it wishes to avail itself of point 3 of the EASA Resolution of 1 April 2020, of the Directorate of the State Aviation Safety Agency, by which it agrees the continuation of certain administrative procedures affected by Royal Decree 463/2020 of 14 March 2020 declaring the state of alarm for the management of the health crisis situation caused by COVID-19. In which you can request the issuance of the certificate with normal procedure and deadlines.

Certificate of Instructor and Examiner – How long does the validity of the instructor’s certificate apply to which the decision of 18.3.2020 applies?

Those instructors and examiners, who are eligible for the exemption, and whose certificate was in force on 14 March and valid until 31/07/2020, including, will be extended their period until 14 November 2020, once they have completed the procedures described above.

Cabin Crew Certificate – I am the holder of a tcp certificate (easa-142) issued by aesa but I have not yet exercised flight privileges and the 60-month period of which expired on 14.4.2020, is any exemption contemplated?

In accordance with the EASA Resolution of 5.5.2020 extends until November 14, 2020, the period of application of this resolution, the 60-month period set out in point CC.CCA.105 for those holders of a cabin crew member certificate who have not exercised privileges as cabin crew member, when the 60-month period ends after March 14, 2020.

Instructor’s and Examiner’s Certificate – Does the Exemption for Adolescents and Ages Instructors Include?

The exemption includes those instructors who can prove that they participate in activities for staff referred to point (e) of the EASA Resolution of 18.3.2020
 
In accordance with the EASA Resolution of 5.5.2020, provided that they meet and certify the requirements defined in paragraph (f) of this Resolution, as well as the requirements established in the PART FCL for the type of instructor certificate of which he holds.

Certificate of instructor and examiner – What is the certificate of examiner affected in the decision of AESA of 5 May of the director compared to the previous one, of March 18, as regards the extension of the date of the same?

The EASA Resolution of 5.5.2020 adds again point FCL 1025, which was already cited in the previous resolution, however, this concern refers only to the entry of the new date. Therefore, TRE/SFE type examiners must avail themselves of the provisions of both Resolutions, in those parts that concern them.

  • AESA Resolution dated 18 March, quotation: A TRE designated by AESA, on a proposal from the operator, shall note on the relevant certificate the new date of validity of the TRE.
  • AESA Resolution dated May 5th citation: The validity of the instructor and examiner certificates valid on 14 March 2020 and whose ordinary period of validity expires before 31 July 2020, during the period of application of this decision, is extended. If the extension can be made in the licence, it will be noted by the examiner and if it is issued on a separate certificate, the licence holder must submit an application to the authority for the entry of the term of validity
Instructor and Examiner Certificate – How is a punctual senior examiner appointed?

For the scenarios referred to in the EASA Resolution of 18.3.2020, if an examiner needs to extend his authorisation as an examiner (with expiry between March 14 and July 31), the operator must apply to EASA for the timely designation of a senior TRE. 

Although the senior examiner will not be able to make any tests, failing that, he will propose, to the candidate to extend. Following the assessment of the petition, a new certificate with a date of validity until 14 November 2020 will be issued if appropriate. 
 
If you do not have an examiner to appoint you as a senior examiner, the Service will assess the possible extension.
