Validation of license issued in ICAO Third Country

Validation is an authorisation granted in a document issued by EASA allowing, after fulfilment of certain requirements, holders of a pilot licence issued in accordance with Annex 1 to the Chicago Convention by a third country to exercise, for a specified period of time, the same privileges as if they were holders of an EASA pilot licence. This figure is regulated by Section 2 of Delegated Regulation 2020/723, which sets out the different cases and requirements for obtaining that authorisation. Validation.

It should be noted that, in certain cases, in order to apply for the validation of a licence, it is necessary to carry out a flight test, which in the case of holders of CPL(A/H) or ATPL(A/H) licences must be authorised by AESA prior to carrying out the licence by means of an authorisation issued by AESA, in order to carry out the required flight test, necessary to obtain the validation of the licence.

To request the corresponding validation modality, you must complete the application format and provide the documentation indicated in it.

The documentation will be sent through one of the options contemplated for it and never via email. You can check the options to present the documentation here.
