Information day on the Royal Decree 517/2024 for Aeromodelling activities

On 11 September 2024, the AESA UAS division team held the first information day aimed at all users who carry out Aeromodelling activities on the occasion of the publication in the BOE of the new Royal Decree 517/2024 which develops the legal regime for the civil use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and which affects this type of activity. In this conference, all the regulatory changes that the new Royal Decree UAS brought with it, such as the definition of the new geographical areas of UAS, the reduction of the minimum insurance requirements, the minimum ages of pilots, specific training or the amendment of Royal Decree 1919/2009 regulating civil aerial demonstrations, were discussed in depth.
