Exemptions (Art. 71.1 and 71.2) and AltMoC under Reg. (EU) 2018/1139 and sixth final provision of the Air Navigation Act

AESA may grant exemptions/AltMoC from the requirements laid down in Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 and its implementing rules in case of unforeseen urgent operational circumstances or operational needs of limited duration, provided that the level of safety is not adversely affected. In this case, EASA, the EC and the other Member States will be notified of such exemption/AltMoC.
They may also make specific exemptions from compliance with the applicable civil aviation regulations in areas not regulated by European Union regulations.
