Requirements to obtain an LMA License (Part 66 and/or national)


AESA offers you a new fully digital procedure for obtaining/modifying/renewing your LMA Part 66/National Licence. The new application, more intuitive and practical, will allow you to carry out its processing without leaving our Electronic Office, following a simple procedure, with all the necessary documentation in one place.

Licence Part 66

  • Basic knowledge
  • Experience

National License

  • LMA Part-66 Licence, or
  • Qualification of Suitable in the tests of Salamanca to obtain the TMA License.
  • Experience requirements

May apply for Part-66/National Aircraft Maintenance Technician License

persons who:

  • Have nationality and/or residence in Spain or in an EASA member country; or
  • Have completed their training in a Spanish Part 147 organization, or.
  • Work or are in the process of obtaining a job in a Spanish maintenance organization.

For those cases in which the passport is provided as an identification document, the applicant must provide documentary proof that he is in one of the above circumstances.

The minimum age to apply for a license is 18 years.

How to Apply for a Part 66 and/or National LMA License


In accordance with Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, the documentation will be sent to AESA through one of the following ways:

To present the documentation it is necessary to identify yourself through Access to the Cl@ve system, through Digital Certificate or Electronic DNI, PIN Key, Permanent Key and EU Citizens.

    • Electronic register of the General State Administration, the Administrations of the Autonomous Communities or the entities that make up the Local Administration.
    • At the post office.
    • In the diplomatic representations or consular offices of Spain abroad.
