Madrid, 21 June 2024 (AESA)

One more year, the Spanish Air Safety Agency (AESA) wanted to show its support for the celebration of the 50th edition of the Vuelta Aérea a España, an event organized by the Real Aeroclub de España (RACE), together with the Real Aeroclub de Sevilla, which annually brings together national and foreign aircraft in its more than 1400km of route. In addition, this year's edition has been in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Aspa Patrol.

Within the framework of AESA's collaboration with General Aviation, Marta Lestau, director of Aircraft Safety at AESA, and Silvia Troncoso, our Air Operations coordinator, have participated on behalf of the Agency in the flight of the last stage of this event. Also, last Saturday, June 15, they joined the participants in the third stage of this competition, which took off from the Barcelona - Sabadell Airport until concluding at the Cuatro Vientos Aerodrome, in Madrid.

This put an end to the celebration of the Air Return to Spain 2024, which began its flight on June 12 in the stage that joined the Armilla Air Base with the Castellón Aerodrome, to give way to a second stage that concluded in Sabadell, starting point of the last section in which our colleagues have participated.

After the arrival at Cuatro Vientos, the closing gala was held at the facilities of the Real Aeroclub de España to deliver the awards of the XXXI Trofeo de H.M. el Rey – XLIX Vuelta Aérea a España, which was attended by representatives of general and sports aviation of our country.
