Madrid, 19 June 2026 (AESA)

The new resolution, approved by the director of the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), establishes guidance material for the use of electronic records, ensuring their accessibility, integrity, traceability and conservation.

Resolution FE-005 aims to adopt the acceptable means of compliance (AMC) and guidance material (GM) included in the Annex for the use of electronic logbook records, aircraft logbooks and engine or propeller cards referred to in Articles 20 and 22 of Law 48/1960 of 21 July 1960, in conjunction with the third additional provision of Royal Decree 765/2022 of 20 September 2022.

The resolution establishes a new reference framework for the use of documentation in electronic format, ensuring its management and conservation with the highest security requirements.

This initiative aims to optimize document management processes, facilitate access to information by authorized personnel and improve efficiency in updating and consulting the data associated with the operation and maintenance of aircraft.
