  • In accordance with the declaration of a zone seriously affected by a civil protection emergency, adopted at the last Council of Ministers.
  • This facilitates the processing of applications in cases where constructions or installations are intended to be carried out in these municipalities.
  • Prioritisation will be done automatically, without the applicant needing to justify their case, during the next 12 months.

Madrid, 7 November 2024 (EASA)

The State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), following the approval in the Council of Ministers held on 5 November of the declaration of an area seriously affected by a civil protection emergency for the areas affected by the DANA, will give priority in the processing of applications submitted to act in the affected municipalities that are under aeronautical servitude.

With this prioritization, the procedures for constructions, facilities or plantations in areas affected by the DANA and located under aeronautical easements will be streamlined.

In this way, when a favourable prior authorisation agreement on aeronautical easements for this area is requested through the Agency’s Electronic Office, AESA will automatically activate the priority route for its resolution without the need to provide justification or any writing for it.

This criterion is included in the prioritisation procedure of EASA files, and will be in force for the next 12 months, extendable if necessary. With this, the administrative procedure will be adapted to respond to the current situation in our country, contributing to mitigate the effects of this natural disaster.

It should be recalled that the objective of establishing aeronautical easements for airports, heliports and aeronautical radio installations is to ensure the safety of aircraft operations as well as the proper functioning of aeronautical radio installations.

To know the areas that are under aeronautical easements of an area in question, an interactive map is available on our website.
