  • CONVERSIONS
    • The national category sailboats and sailboats is converted to subcategory EASA L2.
    • The balloons category is converted to the EASA L3H or L3G subcategory based on the exceedance of the 10L module and gas balloon experience.
    • The national airship category is converted to the EASA L4H subcategory.
    • The national category balloons and airships is converted to the EASA subcategory L3H or L3G based on the exceedance of the 10L module and of experience in gas balloons.
  • LIMITATIONS
    • Subcategory L2 shall carry the limitation of ELA 1 aeroplanes. To remove this limitation, the 2L module and sub-modules 3L.1 and 3L.2 shall be examined and two years of experience in operational ELA1 aeroplanes must be justified by covering a representative set of maintenance tasks.
  • RAISING OF DIFFERENCES
    • Differences do not imply limitations in the certification of maintenance tasks, but need to be overcome when a new L-category is intended to be included.
    • For all converted licenses, the difference lifting will be done by exceeding Module 2L and submodules 3L.1 and 3L.2.

The subcategory L3G obtained from the conversion of the national categories of Balloons and Balloons and Dirigibles, based on the exceedance of the 10L module and of experience in gas balloons, only require the lifting of differences in the case of the interested party intending to obtain a new subcategory.
  • CONVERSION REQUEST
    • To request the conversion of your license you must submit to the Licensing and Training Service of Maintenance Technicians the following documentation:
      • EASA 19 application format (F-DSM-LFTM-01), ticking the box “AML concession”.
      • Original license.
    • The process of conversion of licences does NOT IMPLICATE TASA.
