For the exercise of the privileges of your flight license or certificate it is of vital importance to meet a series of psychophysical and aeromedical requirements, which will depend on the type of flight license or certificate you aspire to obtain or if you are already a holder and to which the aeronautical medical certificate is linked.

Where can I get the aeronautical medical certificate?
Medical certificates can only be obtained or renewed through Aeronautical Medical Centers (AeMC) or through Air Examiners (AME) authorised by the Aeronautical Authority of an EASA Member State.

Procedures associated with the aeronautical medical certificate
In the case of not exceeding the corresponding aeronautical medical certificate, and always in accordance with the indications of the AeMC or AME, you have the following application formats for each case:
In the event that you transfer your FCL license to another EASA Aeronautical Authority, it will be appropriate to authorise the transfer of the medical file. For this you must send us the request for authorisation duly completed and signed by you, through one of the ways contemplated for it
Pre-request for medical examination:
If you need to complete a pre-request for medical examination as a step prior to the visit in medical consultation, you can access the Electronic Headquarters — Aeronautical Medicine (securityaerea.gob.es) and click on the button “Comply pre-request medical examination”. You do not need to be registered in the application or use an electronic certificate to perform this procedure. A help manual is also available on this page.

- Through an electronic register of the General Administration of the State, the Administrations of Autonomous Communities or the entities that make up the Local Administration.
- In the Post Offices
- In the diplomatic representations or consular offices of Spain abroad.
- At the Registry Assistance Offices.
- Through postal service, or in person at AESA’s offices in Madrid
