Follow-Up Event Analysis and Tracking
Regulation (EU) No 376/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on occurrence reporting in civil aviation lays down for organisations, in its Article 13, the requirement to develop a procedure for analysing occurrences in order to identify associated safety risks.
In addition, following the above-mentioned analysis, organisations should identify appropriate measures to address security deficiencies, implement them in due course and establish a process of monitoring implementation and effectiveness.
As defined by Regulation (EU) No 376/2014, where an organisation established in a Member State diagnoses actual or potential safety deficiencies as a result of the analysis of a reported occurrence or group of occurrences, it shall transmit to the competent authority of the Member State, within 30 days of the date of notification of the occurrence, the first results of the analyses carried out and any action taken.
In addition, the organisation shall report the final results as soon as they are available and, in principle, no later than three months from the date of notification of the occurrence.
