Standardization courses for flight examiners

Obtaining a flight examiner certificate requires passing an initial theoretical standardization course. On the other hand, you will need to attend a refresher course to complete any process of revalidation or renewal of a certificate.

AESA is responsible for the organization of courses aimed at obtaining, revalidating and/or renewing certificates issued under its responsibility. In the following link you will find a calendar with all the standardization courses of examiners that AESA will hold this year.

The initial courses are developed in face-to-face mode and are taught in the facilities located in Madrid (Avenida de la Hispanidad, Nº12) The number of calls is limited and is made according to the expected demand for each category of certificate.

In order for you to complete an initial course, you will be required to comply with a series of requirements, depending on the type of certificate requested (see details in the Flight Examiner Certification Guide) You must request access to it from AESA, using these forms:

• LIC-CEX-P01-F43: For initial courses of aircraft and helicopter examiners.
• LIC-CEX-P01-F37: For initial courses of glider examiners.
• LIC-CEX-P01-F40: For initial balloon examiner courses.
• LIC-CEX-P01-F46: For initial ULM examiner courses.

Check that you comply with the established standards and wait for the result of your assessment, which AESA will communicate to you. In case it is positive, you will be invited to the next available edition of the corresponding course, thus being able to complete the registration process.

You can do the refresher courses in person or electronically. And you can register, electronically, through the links included in the Information Circular . In this way, you can enroll in the course that best suits your needs, taking into account the expiration date of your certificate.

Remember: the documentation received via email cannot be processed by AESA in accordance with Article 16 of Law 39/2015 of 1 October 2015 on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. In the FAQ section you have described the means to send it.
