Legislation

AESA is the authority in charge of ensuring compliance with European regulations that protect the rights of air passengers.

It can only intervene in cases covered by Regulations (EC) No 261/2004 and (EC) No 1107/2006.

Other issues – such as complaints by travel agencies, package travel or contractual clauses – need to be resolved before the courts of law or, as the case may be, before the consumer or tourism authorities.
