Madrid, 12 June 2024 (AESA)

The Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA), in collaboration with the DGAC, is organising the first information day on 26 June for all users interested in carrying out EASA operations, on the occasion of the recent publication in the Official State Gazette of the new Royal Decree 517/2024 developing the legal regime for the civil use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

The objective of the day is to deepen the regulatory changes brought about by the new Royal Decree 517/2024 in its different areas, such as those related to limitations and restrictions depending on the place of operations, as well as the different operational categories in which it operates, the new UAS Geographic areas and the modifications related to aerial demonstrations.

Likewise, the changes related to the training of remote pilots in specific authorized category will be deepened, with the new figures of Instructor, examiner and evaluator and the new training of UAS Radiophonist.

The new regulatory framework will enter into force 20 days after its publication in the Official State Gazette (BOE), and will have different deadlines for adaptation to the new regulation in various areas, such as those related to remote pilot training or non-EASA activities, among others.

In addition, part of the session will be dedicated to clarify the doubts of the attendees and expose the future challenges within this area.

The day will be held in online format. To attend, it is necessary to register at this link.

The session will take place on June 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are waiting for you!
