Madrid, 19 March 2025 (AESA)

The entry into force of the EASA PART-IS Regulations is close, and to ensure that aviation organisations comply with EU Regulations 2022/1645 and 2023/203, the EASA Part-IS Implementation Working Group has developed the Part-IS Oversight Approach Guidelines.

"What type of compliance is expected by the Part-IS applicability date? Documentary or operational?”

In order to answer these questions, this document has been published with a double objective:

  1. Be a structured guide to help Competent Authorities oversee the implementation of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) in aviation organizations.
  2. To be used as guidance material by the Organisations that are impacted by this Regulation, since it establishes the criteria for the supervision of the Competent Authorities on the date of entry into application of EU Regulations 2022/1645 and 2023/203

The Part-IS Oversight Approach Guidelines therefore ensures a consistent, harmonised and effective approach to information security (IS) oversight. You can check it here.
