Madrid, 28 January 2025 (AESA)

On February 13, the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) will organize a General Aviation and Vultures Conference at the headquarters of AESA in Madrid, which will expose the current problems posed by vultures in the safety of general and light aviation operations.

AESA considers of great importance the celebration of this Day in order to discuss and coordinate actions that minimize the risk of collision with vultures in general aviation.

Collisions with large birds in general aviation, light and ultralight aviation operations, in particular with vultures, represent a sensitive problem, since serious incidents can occur with loss of control in flight of the aircraft and even accidents with fatal consequences. This sector, therefore, deserves special attention, requiring the collaboration of both the aeronautical and environmental sectors in the search for possible solutions.

On the day there will be a space dedicated to questions and debate, providing an opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas.
