AESA authorised the inaugural flight campaign of Clean Sky 2 Airbus C295 technology demonstrator

The State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) issued an experimental airworthiness certificate to enable the P1 prototype of the Airbus C295 technology demonstrator to carry out the inaugural flight campaign.

From the beginning, AESA has accompanied this project, developed by the Clean Sky 2 research and innovation programme, to achieve a more sustainable regional aviation, after conducting a thorough assessment of compliance with the operational safety requirements of this prototype.

This technological demonstrator incorporates important changes in the wing structure and an innovative fly-by-wire system of flight controls, obtaining significant reductions in consumption, noise and emissions.
