Bárbara Trincado Cosío

 

Secretary General of EASA and Secretary of the Governing Board of this Agency, since January 2021.

Graduated in Research and Market Techniques from the University of Rey Juan Carlos I and Master’s Degree in Public Management and Leadership from the International University of Menéndez Pelayo. Graduated in Aerospace Engineering from the University of León and Aeronautical Technical Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Official of the General State Administration belonging to the Corps of Aeronautical Technical Engineers (2005) and of Senior Optional Technicians of Autonomous Bodies of the Ministry of Development – speciality Air Transport (2019).

Since 2008 she joined AESA as the first Head of the Management Cabinet of EASA and responsible for the Communication Unit until 2021.

Since 2005 she was part of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of the Ministry of Public Works, where she served as Head of the Department of Coordination and Policy Development of the European Union and Head of the Office of International Relations, representing Spain in various international forums, ICAO, European Union, EASA, EUROCONTROL and CEAC, among others.

Previously, she worked as a manager of national and international projects in the field of air navigation at INDRA and INECO.
