Verónica Elvira Olalla

Aeronautical Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Madrid and official of the Corps of Aeronautical Engineers of the General Administration of the State. He has also completed the Master’s Degree in Decision Systems Engineering from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid and has studied the Leadership Program for Public Management at IESE Business School, University of Navarra. 

Since December 2022, she has been Deputy Director-General for Air Transport in the Directorate-General for Civil Aviation. 

She began her professional career in the field of airports as an engineer for the management of airport projects at INECO. As an official, in AESA, she carried out inspection tasks in the field of aircraft safety, later, she held the position of Head of the Security Reporting Service and, until December 2022, that of Safety Assessment Coordinator, being responsible for the risk analysis units and safety reports, as well as the supervision of the implementation, monitoring and adequate compliance of the State Air Safety Program. 
 
She has been the Spanish representative in the SM TEB (Safety Management Technical Body), EASA’s safety management advisory group, and adviser to the ICAO Panel on Operational Safety Management.
