When the objections (observations made) may lead to a change in the exam mark (PASS/FAIL), the mark will appear as provisional (PROV.).

Please note that according to European regulations, challenges (remarks made in the exam) will be eliminated from the exam if they are found to be wrong.

For example, in a 100-question test:

  • I have got 80 questions right and I have made 3 observations, the mark will appear as "PASS" because, even if those 3 questions are cancelled, the total is much higher, that is to say, the mark to pass is still 75% but on 97 questions. In other words, I will need at least 73 correct questions..

    • The mark will be calculated by dividing the total number of correct questions that have not been invalidated by 97 and multiplying by 100. For this particular case and assuming that the three challenged questions have been answered correctly, the number of correct questions would be 77 and the total number of questions in the exam 97, giving a mark of 79.38%.
    • Let's take another case for the previous example, now of the 3 contested questions two are correctly answered and one is wrong and 2 questions should be annulled, one of them the one that has been wrongly answered. Therefore, the exam will have a total of 98 questions, 79 of which are correct, giving us a final mark of 80.60%.
      .
  • I have got 74 questions correct and made 2 observations, the mark will appear as "PROV" because if:

    • The two challenges are valid and these questions have been answered incorrectly. We will have a total of 98 questions of which 74 have been answered correctly, obtaining a grade of 75.51%, with the final grade being "PASS"..
    • The two challenges are valid and one of these questions has been answered correctly and the other incorrectly. We will have a total of 98 questions of which 73 have been answered correctly, obtaining a mark of 74.48%, with the final mark being "NOT PASSED"..
    • If one of the two challenges is correct and the other is not, if the correct challenge is answered correctly and the wrong one is answered incorrectly, we will have: 73 correct questions out of a total of 99, obtaining a mark of 73.73% and the final mark will be "FAIL"..
    • One of the two challenges is valid and the other is not, if the valid challenge has been answered wrongly and the wrong one correctly, the following will be obtained: 74 correct questions out of a total of 99, obtaining a mark of 74.74% and the final mark will be "FAIL"..
    • NO cancellations are made because the challenges were not successful, the final grade would be "NOT PASSED" for not reaching the minimum grade, 75%, to pass.

  • If this is not the case, the note will appear on paper as it is..
  • When a provisional mark becomes a final mark, THE APPLICATION AUTOMATICALLY SENTS an e-mail to the applicant's e-mail address with the following text:

"Dear Candidate, We inform you that the theoretical exam of module XXXXXXXXXXX that you took on XX/XXXX/XXXXXX has been solved. Please access the management tool to verify the result. Yours sincerely".
