Madrid, 20 January 2023 (AESA)

Vishal Deepak Hiranandani Hiranandani has been appointed by the direction of the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) as the new director of the Gran Canaria Flight Safety Office.

The Flight Safety Offices (OSV) are delegations of AESA in different regions of Spain that aim to facilitate the processing of requests from individuals on airworthiness issues and report to the Aircraft Safety Directorate (DSA). OSV nº 8, located in Gran Canaria Airport, mainly serves organisations and individuals located in the autonomous community of the Canary Islands.

The appointment of Vishal Hiranandani aims to provide a better service to the citizen in the field of security. Vishal Hiranandani, born in Lanzarote, is an Aeronautical Engineer with a wide professional career in the sector. He began his professional career in structural and systems design projects and, after years of experience in the international field, joined the Corps of Aeronautical Engineers of the State at AESA.

“After spending 15 years outside the archipelago, I return to the Canary Islands with the illusion of being able to continue contributing, from my land, to the aeronautical industry and to the safety of civil aviation,” said Vishal Hiranandani after his appointment.
