Briefing on EASA’s concerted identification, authentication and electronic key signature system for foreign citizens

The Air Traffic Commercial Permit Service of the State Aviation Safety Agency held an information session on Wednesday 16 February on AESA’s agreed identification, authentication and electronic key signature system for foreign citizens not resident in Spain, called eSignature for Foreigners (e4F).

This e4F system allows any foreign person who does not reside in Spain to submit an application to the Commercial Permissions Service through the AESA website, even if they do not have a valid digital certificate in Spain, provided that they meet a number of requirements.

The briefing will explain how to request the Concerted Key, how and when it can be used, the renewal of it or the causes of extinction, as well as the operating guarantees.

It will also review the need to demonstrate the capacity to represent in accordance with the legislation in force, as well as the means provided for in the regulations.

This new procedure will be mandatory in the near future and only applications for accreditation or authorisation of flight programmes will be accepted through this route.
