Madrid, 25 May 2023 (AESA)

The State Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) informs that as of June 1st, 2023, non‐scheduled (occasional) commercial air operations with third countries by air operators with an operating  license issued in application of Regulation (EC) No.1008/2008, are no longer subject to the authorization regime, so they can be performed without contacting AESA..

These non‐programmed operations carried out without authorization shall not be part of a series of flights that are so regular or frequent that they constitute a recognisable systematic series. For this  case, an authorization by AESA must be obtained.

This change does not affect the flight programs that are requested for each IATA season, both scheduled and non‐scheduled flights that must be requested from AESA through the ELECTRONIC  OFFICE under the on‐line procedure, “Autorización de programas de operaciones aéreas comerciales”.

For any questions about this modification, you can contact the Commercial Air Traffic Rights Department by email at permisos.comerciales@seguridadaerea.es.
