Madrid, 8 June 2022 (AESA)

The State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) will hold an information day on 28 June to explain to the organisations the draft of the European Union Agency (EASA) to regulate the operational safety of aircraft groundhandling at certified airports.

The aim is to explain the regulatory framework for introducing this new regulation, the current deadlines for its publication and entry into force, and the draft regulation itself in sufficient detail to understand what aspects the regulation will regulate and how.

Among the aspects that will regulate the new legislation and that will be addressed in this day are:

  • Declaration responsible for compliance with the regulation
  • Requirements for authorities in the supervision of groundhandling
  • Requirements for groundhandling service providers to have a management system encompassing the safety management system, training, maintenance of equipment, availability of operating manuals, compliance with third party manuals (airports and airlines), etc.
  • Requirements for ground handling operations, establishing a minimum level of operational safety.

The day will be online on 28 June from 10:00 to 13:00 hours interested organisations can attend through the following link: Join the meeting
