  • A day aimed at organizations involved in the management of restricted-use aerodromes and helipads: public administrations, aerodrome and heliport managers and engineering.

Madrid, 06 August 2026 (AESA)

The State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) will hold on October 8, 2026, at its headquarters in Madrid, the First National Aerodrome Forum, a meeting aimed at public administrations, managers of aerodromes and helipads, engineering and other actors involved in this field.

Spain has around 400 aerodromes and helipads of restricted use where very diverse activities are carried out, from the provision of essential public services such as urgent medical transport or the extinction of forest fires, to aeronautical maintenance operations, pilot training, aerial work, tourist flights and general and sports aviation activities.

These facilities are, for the most part, the responsibility of the autonomous communities, in accordance with the provisions of their respective statutes of autonomy. Since November 2024, the exercise of these powers has undergone a change, leading to a new model for authorisations, verification of compliance with technical safety standards and aeronautical inspection.

Therefore, the objective of this forum is to present the new framework for action and to know the role played by the different actors involved, including the EASA itself, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC), the autonomous communities, the managers of aerodromes and helipads, specialized engineering and other representatives of the sector.

•    Date: Thursday, October 8, 2026.
•    Timetable: from 09:00 to 15:00 hours.
•    Place: Headquarters of AESA, Joaquín Costa Street, 1 (Madrid). Hall of events.
•    Modality: face-to-face and telematics.

If you are a professional in this field or belong to any entity of any autonomous community involved in this activity, especially environmental bodies, you can attend by registering at the following link.

Soon the agenda of the day will be known. From AESA we hope that this meeting will contribute to strengthening institutional coordination on the management and supervision of restricted-use aerodromes and helipads in Spain.
