  • The Agency continues with the digitalization of its application for the management of licenses of aeronautical personnel by incorporating this group, which is added to cabin crew, maintenance technicians and general aviation pilots.

Madrid, 11 November 2025 (AESA)

The State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) has expanded the scope of its digital application for aeronautical personnel license management (LPA), incorporating FCL(H) helicopter pilots into the digital environment. This tool, which became operational in October 2024, allows procedures to be carried out in a more agile, secure and efficient way.

On the occasion of this incorporation, AESA organized a specific webinar, on October 2, aimed at helicopter pilots, in which the operation of the new application was explained and doubts about its use were resolved. The material used in the online session, as well as an FAQ section, are available on the AESA website. It can be consulted at this link.

The LPA application offers multiple benefits for users, including:

  • Digital access to licensing information and documentation.
  • Reduction of time in the processing of applications.
  • Greater traceability and safety in the processes.
  • Direct interaction with AESA through an intuitive digital environment.

The new digital application is now operational for Passenger Cabin Crew (TCP), Aeronautical Maintenance Technicians (TMA), and ultralight pilots (ULM), gliders (SFCL) and balloons (BFCL). Thus, the next step in the deployment of this platform will be the management of licenses for FCL (A) aircraft pilots.

AESA continues with the gradual implementation of the LPA application, with the aim of ensuring an efficient and orderly transition to the new digital environment, adapted to the needs of each professional group.
