Safety Management System (SMS)
As a third key point in the verification process, the aerodrome manager shall have a safety management system, the description of which shall be incorporated in the aerodrome manual.
AESA has developed a guide for the development of verified airport SMS, which sets out the guidelines to be followed for the development of the Operational Safety Management System (SMS), defining the minimum contents to be included in this SMS.
In relation to SMS, EASA has also developed a guide for the preparation of Security Studies — Exemptions, which sets out the basic guidelines to be followed for the development of a Security Study for the application of exemption.
