If I passed some basic exams before June 12-2024, are they valid for a Part 66 LMA license?

They are valid. The only difference is that the certificate of recognition on which they appear corresponds to the EASA 148 format, while the basic examinations approved as of 12 June 2024 will appear in an EASA 148a format if they have been carried out in a Part 147 organisation, or in an EASA 148b format (if they have been carried out with the Authority).

How long do I have since I passed the course until it expires before I get the LMA Part 66 license?

Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 provides in paragraph (b) of 66.A.25 that basic training courses and examinations shall be conducted within the 10 years preceding the application for an aircraft maintenance licence or the addition of a category or subcategory to that licence.

Those modules that have passed 10 years will need to be re-examined if the syllabus of these modules has changed since it was approved until the date on which the license is requested. If the agenda of those modules had not changed, it would not have to be reconsidered.

Can I validate the License obtained outside the EASA environment?

There is no process for validating aircraft maintenance licenses obtained outside the EASA environment. EASA only recognises for the issue of LMA Part 66, the training obtained and passed as set out in Annex III (Part-66) to Regulation (EU) 1321/2014.

In the case of modules that are the same in several (sub)categories, can this module

Regulation (EU) 1321/2014 lays down in Appendix I to Part 66 the modules that need to be passed in order to access a particular category. Those modules that are common to two categories, may be used to obtain different categories or subcategories, if the module that has been passed in a certain category or subcategory has the same content with a level equal to or higher than in the other categories or subcategories to be obtained.
