AESA strategy

The Strategic Plan of AESA was born with the intention that this Agency continues to contribute to the growth, development and improvement of safe and efficient aviation, in addition to creating a stable framework to transform AESA into a reference institution for the safety and sustainability of the sector, both nationally and internationally. This plan sets out the objectives of the Agency at different levels that will guide the way forward during the four-year period during which it is in force (2024-2027).

Mission, vision and values


The EASA Mission shall: Contribute to the growth, development and improvement of safe, efficient and quality aviation

EASA's Vision: To be a public institution of reference for the safety and sustainability of the aviation sector, both nationally and internationally

The EASA Values:

Strategic Objectives


The strategic lines of EASA mark the pillars on which the Strategy is based, defining in accordance with these lines the strategic objectives at each of its levels.

PEOPLE

The Agency requires to have, to be able to fulfill the tasks of its competence, a highly qualified team, motivated and aligned with the objectives of the organization, and capable of providing professional value with a high level of technical requirement.

In the current circumstances, it is essential to define lines of action aimed at achieving a talented human group that can develop their professional career within the Agency. It is also considered necessary to design and implement appropriate human resources management tools to achieve an efficient and stable workforce over time. The aspiration is that AESA has a very prepared human team and is perceived as a place where highly qualified professionals can carry out their professional career.

SECURITY

The main function of EASA related to Security (Safety + Security) requires strengthening the tasks of promoting aviation safety, as well as continuous improvement in those tasks carried out by the Agency where relevant needs have been detected that should be part of EASA's strategy in the next four years. These aspects include: enhance internal coordination for the identification and management of safety risks, improve the monitoring of safety performance at the state and organizational levels, promote the safe and sustainable development of general aviation, promote civil-military coordination and develop and implement a single, integrated global aviation cybersecurity oversight scheme

EXCELLENCE

The search for excellence in the different actions of AESA has become a necessity in the current circumstances and must be taken into account in a relevant way to allow the agency to fulfill its function as an Aeronautical Authority in our society. This line develops a series of strategic, tactical and operational level objectives related to aspects such as the search for efficiency and effectiveness of its processes, user orientation with the improvement in the development of ICT tools, facilitation of the development of the sector and technological innovation, as well as contributing to the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development agenda. 

 

Multiannual Strategic Framework and AESA Annual Action Plan


The Strategic Plan includes the central lines that will guide the strategy of EASA for the next four years (2024 to 2027), with the aim of having a stable framework on which our operational plans will be executed, and thus ensure that the measures of each of the directorates are consistent with the objectives set.

The Agency’s Annual Action Plan sets out the strategic objectives and actions needed to achieve them. Both documents are aligned with the principles adopted by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and are approved by the AESA Governing Board.
