The Aeronautical Inspection is legally framed by Law 21/2003 of 7 July 2003 on Aviation Safety, and is implemented by Royal Decree 98/2009 of 6 February 2009 on Aeronautical Inspection Regulations. In addition, the Statute of the State Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) provides that this inspection is the responsibility of EASA.
